Graduation: Congratulations Class of 2014

Graduation 2014: The families and friends of the Jaguar Class of 2014 have traveled from afar, shared great meals, offered amazing gifts, and created lasting memories as they proudly supported their graduating seniors. One of these seniors will be traveling with us to France tomorrow. Congratulations, Jeremy! We are so proud of you.

On the eve of our departure, there is so much to do: Lists to write, items to check off those lists, clothes and personal items to prepare, suitcases to pack, last minute messages to friends...

We have so much to look forward to and we have come so far from last year this time! Please follow our blog here. We may not post post every day of the trip --- but, we will certainly try to do so!

We leave from Will Rogers Airport in OKC at 3:15 pm, we will arrive in Paris at about 2:30 am Oklahoma time, and we will meet our host families around 9:45 am Oklahoma time. Please offer up safe travel prayers for us!

Day 16: Montmartre, Sacré Coeur, Notre Dame and Shakespeare & Co.

Our day began with breakfast. We left the hotel and got pastries at a nearby pastry shop before heading to a local café for hot chocolate and coffee. The picture below is a picture taken of a scrap of a note taped to a light pole near the café. It reads "young Polish woman"...We speculated on its potential meaning, but came up with no reasonable explanation. Why is it posted here? To make everyone think --- and realize that visiting Paris for the first time can be a disorienting experience.
We decided to head to Montmartre. We did a bit of shopping and rode the merry-go-round at the Pplace Louise Michel at the base of Sacré Coeur.
Of course, this is an area of Paris where tourists gather --- and so do pickpockets! We stayed on alert.
